The Amazon rainforest is a key ecosystem for scientific research due to its incredible biodiversity. With around 10% of the world's known species, it is a reservoir of genetic resources that offer insights into the complex interactions between organisms and their environment. The study of the Amazon rainforest and its dynamics contributes significantly to our understanding of evolutionary mechanisms and the effects of global change on ecosystems.<\/p>

The Amazon rainforest is also a key place for understanding the history of pre-Columbian civilizations, thanks to the presence of archaeological remains and artifacts.<\/p>
